Kudos – Designer Weekend Success!!!

January 8th and 9th Kudos Bridal Couture Edinburgh hosted a Charlotte Balbier ‘meet the designer’ weekend and it was SOLD OUT event.

The weekend was packed full of exciting treats for the lucky brides-to-be, Mark Cameron Scotlands leading photographer www.markcameronphotography.co.uk was at the Boutique snapping shots of the brides journey finding the ‘one’. After the search was over and the brides had picked their Charlotte Balbier gown it was time to be pampered with a mini manicure and a glass of champagne (well it is thirst work trying on so many beautiful gowns!). Throughout the bridal consultations the champagne was flowing and tasty cupcakes (Pink of course) were served to the bride and her bridal party.

Finally the bridal party were treated to a Rickshaw ride to their next destination that day.... wow what a fabulous day.

The icing on the cupcake for Charlotte was the ‘meet Charlotte hour’ on Saturday evening when past Charlotte Balbier brides came to meet Charlotte and enjoy a glass of fizz and chat to Charlotte about their wedding.

We weren't sure what to expect from our very first Designer Weekend. We knew that with Charlotte herself there to meet our lovely brides-to-be, it was bound to be a great experience for them. And so it proved! Everyone loved the special treatment they received - from the champagne and cupcakes to the free rides in our wedding rickshaw - but the highlight for all was the personal touch that Charlotte brought to their wedding dress selection. By the end of the two days we had lots of very happy new customers - and a team of exhausted Kudos staff! I know that Charlotte particularly enjoyed talking to the brides who had already ordered their dresses, and who came along on Saturday evening especially to meet her (and pick her brains for tips on accessories etc.). It was a great event, and we hope to do the same again next year (please, Charlotte?)

It was an amazing weekend, Michelle and Jackie had spent so much time and thought on planning the weekend and it really made it extra special, not only for the brides but for me too. I loved meeting so many new brides and helping them find their dream Charlotte Balbier gown and accessories, each one was stunning and unique in their choices. My highlight was definatley meeting so many Charlotte brides on the Saturday evening, to have a room full of CB brides was overwhelming, I had a few tears and felt so very proud to have so many wonderful and beautiful brides.
To top it all off I got to have a ride through the snow in the Kudos rickshaw, eat cupcakes for breakfast and lunch!!!!
