Modern Bride, ExCel London, 5th-7th November

At the beginning of this month, I took my stunning 2011 collections to the first ever Modern Bride show. This was my debut at a consumer show and I was buzzing with excitement!

Thursday was our preparation day. Arriving in London it was straight to ExCel to set up the Charlotte Balbier stand. Gowns were unpacked and hung, mannequins dressed with ‘Camilla’ and ‘Tabitha’, accessories were put on the shelves and the show cards displayed. After i gave the nod that the stand had been sufficiently Balbier’ed, it was off for a fabulous meal (and a few drinks) followed by an early night in for preparation for the doors opening on Friday morning!
Friday morning and the cupcakes arrived from The Little Cakery with perfect timing, ready to put them on to the cute cake stand. With just enough time to pour out the sweeties into the bowls, the doors opened to let all the visitors in! This was just the start of our busy and fun weekend!!...
Girls flooded on to the Charlotte Balbier stand, many had come just to see us after reading about us online, and others were drawn in by the fresh and feminine gowns that the Charlotte Balbier collection is so famous for. The 4 catwalk shows showcased a fabulous selection of Charlotte Balbier gowns, from the 2011 Collection, ‘Eden’, ‘Gia’, ‘Tempany’ and ‘Sweet Pea’ were just some of the favourites!
Our stand was busy from start to finish with brides-to-be, getting help and advice for their special day and find their dream Charlotte Balbier gown. We even held a prize draw to win a goody bag bursting with Charlotte Balbier goodies...see our earlier blog (below) to meet our lucky winner!

This fabulous 3 day event enabled the Charlotte Balbier brand to go straight to the brides themselves and spread the word about the gorgeous brand and where they can go to find it. Upon our return we spent over a week emailing the hundreds of girls that we met to ensure we passed them on to their appropriate stockist, and they are already beginning to book their appointments!

After all this fun we were totally exhausted and it was time for team Balbier to put the heels to one side, and put our feet up with a glass of Pink Bubbles!!
