Born into Bridal fashion, Charlotte Balbier is the
3rd generation of a family in British design from the 1960's and being at the
forefront of the industry for over 50 years Charlotte was inspired by her
heritage from both her grandparents and parents from a young age. Training full
time in house with professional pattern cutters and seamstresses of her family business,
the designer fast became passionate about industry learning from the best and
took it upon herself to immerse into all aspects of the industry learning
everything from the elements of beadwork right through to the needs of the
customer and retailer from their designer. Now having 15 years professional
design under her belt Charlotte's skill set encompasses design and more with an
active role in all creative departments; advertising, PR, editorial market,
production staging and social media to name but a few. Charlotte continues to
be the main proactive driving force behind her designs and always looks to
challenge herself in new and fashion forward ways so, due to popular demand
from both celebrity’s and their stylists and having always dreamt of creating a
red carpet collection, with 2013 marking her 10th anniversary as a
leading British bridal designer it seemed only right that the new elegant
designs became part of her decade celebration.
“I am so excited to plunge into this new adventure
for me and my team, with red carpet always being a passion of mine” Said
Charlotte, when asked about the fresh new collection. “With a number of the
gowns already set to walk the red carpet in the coming months, this new diverse
range is a dream come true to see my long thought out vision come to fruition
in a year that I think is set to really count for myself and the brand and in
all honesty, I couldn’t be more thrilled!”
At present, the sought after designs are POA and
made on request only, already with a buzz surrounding the red carpet designs
from stylists and those lucky enough to have been spoilt with sneak previews,
it is clear that 2013 is set to be a prominent success in the designers
calendar.
