Girls of Elegance & Bridalbook show brides how to ‘Work It’!!!

Charlotte Balbier stockist Girls of Elegance recently teamed up with Bridebook to put on a fabulous show for brides-to-be in their area. As a stockist of only Charlotte Balbier our gowns hit the runway looking fab :) ...here’s the story behind it and some gorgeous pics!!

In 2011 Bridebook was set up by Valerie Honeywill from Wedding Whirled and Ildiko Scurr from The Wedding Angel. After many years working with brides-to-be we decided that there was too much focus on the Wedding Day and not the people who were getting married.
The company motto is...It's All About You!!

Bridebook tells us more:
"Weddings should be a joyous event but all too often they become very stressful. With this in mind Bridebook was launched!!

We offer online information and interactive workshops for the bride-to-be and her bridal party. We realise that to look radiant on the outside you have to feel good on the inside so we work very closely with the Bride and listen to any concerns she may have. This could be anything from family issues to wearing a corseted dress & walking in heels.
Our workshop at Kingston Country Courtyard in the beautiful Purbeck Hills of Dorset covered these and many other issues.

The event ran through the afternoon and included 15 minute presentations from wedding specialists with years of expertise in their given field...After the presentations there was a vintage tea allowing everyone the time to relax and chat.
During this event there was a catwalk using real, not professional, models showing the Brides how to wear their wedding dress and shoes comfortably, enabling them to walk down the aisle with confidence and style. The dresses and shoes on the day were provided by Girls Of Elegance who have the most beautiful showroom in Poole, Dorset. They stock a stunning range of gowns by designer Charlotte Balbier and amazing Swarovski crystal shoes by Era Boutique; a range designed by Sarah Harvey the director/owner of Girls Of Elegance.
Alongside the above mentioned there were presentations allowing the Brides to interact on calming nerves, skincare leading up to the big day, hair & make-up, the history of the chosen flowers in the bouquet, the meaning behind the wedding ring, and finally when you feel calm on the inside and look beautiful on the outside how you would capture this in front of the camera...There was also a separate presentation on how to wear a corset and the history behind them.
This is a unique idea and one that has produced a lot of interest from brides and businesses alike...We will be running regular workshops so that the bride to be will be able to come along to events with her bridal party for a fun, social and informative day or evening."
