Is the wait finally over for the Royal Wedding dress designer??
Charlotte Balbier HQ has been buzzing with whispers on the grapevine about who will be designing the Royal Wedding Dress for Kate Middleton this April...
and the name on everyone's lips...
Sarah Burton!!
Sarah Burton was made Creative Director of the British fashion house Alexander McQueen, after the unexpected and tragic death of Lee Alexander McQueen February last year.
Kate Middleton is keeping all the details close to her chest (as I would too!!) and Alexander McQueen is denying that they are making the gown (of course they would!!!)...
"Love, love, love Sarah Burton's work and I have always been a huge Alexander McQueen fan so I was super excited to read that Sarah maybe the one who has designed Kate’s dress. Although I was a little surprised as my money was on Bruce Oldfield!
If Sarah is the chosen one it will be very exciting to see what the gown is like, Sarah Burton is known as a risk taker in her designs. As creative director for Alexander McQueen the shows always have the wow factor (and shock factor!!)... I am sure though that Kate’s dress will be elegant, timeless and beautiful...just like the bride to be is." Charlotte Balbier

A fantastic way to raise money during your special day!
Blushing brides needed to help beat breast cancer
Blushing brides are being encouraged to make their wedding day extra special by treating guests to a gift that will help beat breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Campaign is calling on all brides to give guests a pink ribbon pin as a wedding favour. Not only are the pins a unique wedding gift, you will also be helping the charity continue funding vital breast cancer research.
There is a wide range of pins to choose from to suit every bride and wedding! Choose from a Breast Cancer Campaign pink ribbon pin or jigsaw pin (£1), a pink ribbon pin designed by fashion designer Jasper Conran (£1) or, for people looking for an extra touch of glamour, there is a diamante pink ribbon pin (£5). When you purchase the pins, Breast Cancer Campaign can also provide small place cards to let you guests know about the charitable donation.
Pink ribbon badges are not the only way you can raise money for charity on your big day; asking for donations in lieu of gifts is a simple and easy way to help in the fight against breast cancer. Campaign has a simple donation form which you can send to guests with your invitations to make it as easy as possible to arrange.
If you want to continue the pink theme throughout your wedding, Campaign can also provide balloons, banners, invitation cards and any other materials you may need to add the finishes touches to your big day!
For more information or to purchase any of the charity’s merchandise, please call 020 7749 4114, email supportercare@breastcancercampaign.org or visit http://www.breastcancercampaign.org/

2011 Oscars...Our favourite red carpet looks!!
It's that time of year again, when our glam icons hit the red carpet for the Oscars. This event is supposed to be all about the winners and the films but over the years it has become one of the biggest Fashion events of the year...Who will be wearing who on the carpet????
This year wasn't a disappointment either...
Charlotte Balbier's favourite from this fabulously star-studded event was......*drum roll please!*.....
Florence Welch (from Florence & the Machine) wore a stunning Valentino Couture. I just love the vintage inspired look with the lace bodice, long sleeves and pleated layers of chiffon. With the cream tones of the gown, natural make up and her auburn hair, she looks truly like an English Rose.
Nicola (Charlotte's assistant) just fell in love with the Elie Saab creation worn by Mila Kunis...
This stunning pin-tucked chiffon with lace panel detailed gown looks just gorgeously glam in this soft lavender shade. I love how the draping chiffon contrasts with the lace....so sexy!!
These are just two out of sooooo many that we loved...Did you have a favourite??
